WHAT ARE ADULT DAY SERVICES?
An adult day service is a program designed to meet
the needs of those individuals who need supervised care during any part
of the day but less than twenty-four hours. An ADS program
provides a variety of health, social and related support services that
are in a protective setting. Most ADS Centers are open Monday
through Friday, but a few offer weekend hours.
WHO
USES ADULT DAY PROGRAMS?
Adult
Day Services serves clients with physical, mental or emotional
impairments that may need supervision, increased social
opportunities, assistance with personal care or other daily living
activities.
WHAT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED?
Transportation
and Rehabilitation Therapies may be available at an extra cost.
WHAT IS THE COST OF ADULT DAY SERVICES?
Fees vary between adult day centers depending
upon the range of available services. Clients may qualify for financial assistance through federal,
state or local community funding services. The Veterans
Administration Program has a Financial Program for those veterans who
meet the VA qualifications.
The cost of a day in an adult day center is a

nursing facility.
